Since 2008, Alex has been reshaping the way people think about hair. She began her career in dynamic downtown Portland, Maine and relocated to the NH Seacoast in 2010.
As a woman with curly and sometimes unruly hair, Alex understands the importance of working with natural texture and growth pattern to create a style that complements your unique face and lifestyle. Whether you seek to add shape to straight hair or control your curls, Alex has the tools and training. She’s skilled in classic precision cutting techniques and specializes in re-texturizing hair that’s been cut against the grain for years.
On her off time, Alex enjoys quality time with her two sons and thrives on hunting down speciality antiques and oddities with her husband Jesse, to add to their growing collection—some of which has spilled over into the salon!
Shaunie Hodsdon
Stylist/salon manager
Shaunie has a relaxed presence and will make you feel like she’s been your bestie since forever. She has 15 years experience and a wealth of cutting knowledge. Shaunie’s passion is adding texture to shag you out and plump those limp locks up! As a fine kinda hair gal herself, she understands the small hair struggle is real!
Shaunie specializes in custom haircuts including: shags, mullets, alt styles, and razor cutting. Shaunie’s pup, Bowie, joins her everyday at Pin Up, and enjoys napping and greeting our clients at the door.
In her off time Shaunie enjoys singing karaoke, hanging with her pals, watching tv, and going on flat hikes to secret waterfalls.
Rachel Halvorsen
level 3 stylist & Barber
Rachel has been practicing cosmetology since 2008, with continuing on to get her Barbering License in 2014. Yes, that means this girl can do killer color applications as well as do an amazing fade and shave! You can also catch her at 1886 Barbershop in Somersworth, NH.
Along with classic Men’s Grooming, Rachel loves playing with color, especially customizing and altering fashion tones. She loves working with guests to come up with unique ways to execute their vision while keeping hair health and integrity top priority.
Off the clock, Rachel loves enjoying getting outdoors with her big family and dog, Ada. They especially love the White Mountains, which was a big reason for moving to NH from her hometown in MA.

ALYSSA MACKENZIE

Alyssa is ready to paint your hair up and down. She loves creating custom color blends that are unique to you. As a Taurus, her energy is grounded and earthy, helping to bring your hair dreams into reality.
Whether you are looking for fun vibrant colors, a subtle lived in balayage, a simple trim or a full transformation, Alyssa is your girl. She has a great passion for learning and continues to learn new techniques or skills to bring back to you.
Alyssa keeps a relaxed vibe open for fun conversations including music, her online shopping addiction, or your favorite nature trails.
Michelle Poisson

Michelle will always welcome you with the biggest smile you’ve seen in your life. She is present and ready to bring your hair dreams to reality. Michelle takes her time listening to your needs to contruct a plan tailored perfectly to your lifestyle.
Michelle loves coloring and shaping together for an all over refreshed look. Shes enthusiastic about taking on unique pallets and applications flexing her creative skills with vivids or natural colorways.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her hilarious 5 year old son and also enjoys seeing live music shows with friends.
Shontell Allard
level 3 stylist
Shontell started her career in cosmetology in 2016 in Dover, NH. She has since spent a decade traveling from east coast all the way to Alaska and back. Shontell specializes in all curly hair textured shapes and styles, lived-in customized color, and making you feel comfortable and cared for.
In her time out of the salon, Shontell enjoys spending time with her partner and two dogs. She is an avid rock climber and hiker which she discovered while growing up in the White Mountains of NH.
